DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 3 (Three): (1) Ansonia Clock Co., New York, NY, "Kensington" mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in a brass case with a brass dial, c1901; (2) Waterbury Clock Co., Waterbury, Conn., mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement in a gilt brass case, c1910; (3) Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn., figural mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring driven movement with Brocot escapement in a cast metal case with three incandescent bulbs, c1915.
CONDITION:
(1) Case with old, slight uneven patina. Dial numbers have been repainted. (2) Gilding is worn or darkened over much of the clock. Porcelain dial is cracked in several places with a small loss near 10 o'clock. Rear door hinge will need to be reattached. (3) Case has been repainted with metallic gold paint. The lights were not tested. Pendulum is absent. Dimensions are for the Kensington (1). Sold "as is ".
